I've managed to build DROD from wishing to use it with the data from the King's Dugan Dungeon and Journey To The Rooted Hold I bought long time ago.
Unfortunately, it appears the compiled DROD expects some data format I would call "
version 5"
as it tries to load "
Data/drod5_0.dat"
, and fails, while those games I'd like to run contain "
Data/drod2_0.dat"
.
The original post about releasing of the DROD source code says
it should be possible to copy the "Data" directory from either the demo or full version of JtRH/TCB/GatEB/TSS
(emphasis mine) so I assumed I could do what I wanted, but it appears can only run some later games from the DROD lineage.
So, what gives? Is there any way to use hand-compiled DROD with KDD and JtRH?
