This is not going to be an easy topic, but it's something that concerns me, especially considering what happened to me personally and my personal losses

Considering that everyone is getting older (me included) and times are constantly a-changing, are there any plans as to who will take over, once our mods/administrators will retire?

I want this board to continue, but I am little bit scared that it will disappear, once there is no one else to continue. Can you ease up my fears?

I'm not dead yet

I haven't been planning to change anything, per se, but it's a great point to raise.

If someone who's been around for a while wants to get seriously invested in running things for the long-term, I'm open to proposals.

Trust me, I've felt extremely uncomfortable when I made this thread, because I was afraid it to would sound disrespectable, but yes, it's better to signal certain topics beforehand. I myself learned it the very hard way. That way, there is more time to prepare.

Ah, I perceived no disrespect. I'm sorry about your personal losses, and I can definitely understand and appreciate your question on this topic.

The way I see it, given that what we're doing in the Caravel community has always been a labor of love, the way things are managed is generally organic, and it's true that it's largely driven by individual passion and circumstance. Community members are always welcome to get more involved. Also, if someone wanted to turn this collection of passion projects and what we do into a serious business organization, for instance, that would also be something we'd have to consider based on circumstance.
