I was playing around with a time based were-wubba script (15 turns as Beethro, 15 as wubba, repeat), and discovered that an un-stealthed player-wubba can be eaten by red and blue serpents.

However, a stealthed player-wubba will still shrink a red serpent (used a decoy to get the serpent to move while stealthed).

Is this intended behavior? Other monsters (including slayers) cannot eat wubbas.

There was a discussion about this here. Basically it applies to all "unkillable" player roles, not just wubbas. And while very few, there are rooms in published holds that utilize this.

Okay.

Is there any way to make the player fully invulnerable?

Not yet, but there has been talk of adding player "behaviors" to 5.2, which might allow more invulnerability options.
