It seems that I have to push the wubbas to the pressure plates to be able to kill the tar mother and exit, but I can't even step on the solid floor without the the northern wubba blocking my way. I have to push one of them into the water to be able to continue - but then I can't exit.

What am I missing?

Well, I've tried that...

So the question is: when exactly to step on the solid floor, with which weapon?

Edit: and the H&S effect strikes again!

Thanks anyway for the nudge in the right direction!
