As it stands, when you hold the cursor over the moderation links, the cost of moderating the message appears. This is a very useful feature, but I feel it could be improved by showing your current total of mod points alongside it. That way, when there are two posts you'd like to mod but you're not sure if you have the points, you wouldn't have to check the profile.

From my (limited) knowledge of web coding, I'd guess this would be either extremely easy (5-10 lines of code in the right place) or extremely difficult (complete overhaul), depending on how the site's set up. So which would it be?

Since it checks your total anyways for the decision of whether to display the modding links at all, I'd say changing the "Cost: 2" message to "Cost: 2 out of X" message will be extremely easy.

I'm so sure of this, I'll bet 5 mod points on the first option.

Since I had to know the number of points you had, in order to choose whether or not to display the links at all, I didn't have to add any lines of code - just modify two lines. Edit: Hey, that's exactly what Maurog said. *ahem*.
