Has this been asked for?

You know you get a little indicator when you get a PM? What would be the reward/effort ratio of getting a little message like that when someone mods you up or down? I'd like to know when my rank points start creeping up...

Isn't that just placing more of an importance on the ranking system again?

Something like that might start to make people worry about getting more rank points again, thus bringing up the previous rank point problems all over again.

I've noticed that you yourself take your rank points too seriously. You have complained about it when you don't get any, in order to try to get some, and then when you are collecting many, you then ask for requests that either make it easier to get more rank points or make it more obvious to you that you have collected them.

Perhaps you shouldn't put so much importance on how many you have amassed, and just enjoy the forum for its community, friendly atmosphere and its liveliness. Don't worry too much about your "popularity" rank; we're all about equal on this forum anyway.

I would like to have this system, but not for a reason like that. Ever since the last debate on mod points, where we were advised to start spending more of them, I have had hardly any. I'd like to know when I have another one to spend.

Well, when the links turn up, you've got mod points.

There is a way to check whether or not you've been modded recently, but it requires a bit of memory. Personally, I'd spend less time worrying about whether you're being modded and more timemaking posts that people will like.

(As a rule, if you make me laugh out loud, you'll get a mod point.)

I meant I modded it back up to 0. But then someone else came back and modded us both down again.
