There is something I don't get here. it seems I need an eye on plate/arrow at 18.16, which I'm not able to do.
But actually, if I press that plate, the arrow on 18.8 get disabled, and if I click on 18.8, it seems pressing it should disable the arrow at 18.6. the same way that pressing on 18.6 disable arrow at 18.8 (at least, that what I understand clicking on the two plates).
But stepping on 18.6 disable 18.8, while the opposite is false.

What am I missing?

still I don't understand why putting an eye on pp at 18.8 does not disable the above arrow. Am I misunderstanding the hint I get when I click on the PP?

Yes. This is an ambiguous situation.

Clicking on a door or force arrow also highlights pressure plates that affect it. The orange highlight you're seeing isn't from the south pressure plate toggling the arrow on the north one; it's from the north pressure plate toggling the arrow on the south one.

It would probably be better if these two situations were visually distinct, but for now at least, they aren't.
