Okay, I've finished all the rooms but now I can't leave - you can't hit the orb until the blue door drops and you can't kill the roach until you hit the orb but you cant hit the orb because the blue door hasnt dropped and the blue door wont drop until all the monsters are gone and you need to kill the roach so the blue door will drop but you cant kill the roach until you drop the blue......

okay - I've officailly gone nuts - even dream I was eating a ceareal called "Tar Babies" - It was quite good, sort of like crunch berry stuff (not that I get much - the kids eat it before I cant and it's only bought rarely)

okay, time for a break

I found the problem - I've missed 2S 1E - now I can't figure out how to get to the room, as I can't seem to backtrack to the north.

Any hints on this?

Yeah, this hold (at least the first level) has to be one of the most tedious I've played yet. I made the same mistake you did, and ended up solving most of the level from the beginning. The order that you do the rooms does seem to make a difference.
