Since I may not be around for the ending of the contest, I'll give my comments now...
Entry #1 - The squares were 14x14, the interface was the exact same, and I didn't understand the concept of the potion. I ranked it low.
Entry #2 - Admittadly, this one was mine, and it was done very quickly and very poorly by my standards. If it makes top 3, I will be beyond suprised.
Entry #3 -
A lot more effort could have been put into this one.
Entry #4 - Very interesting...However, there are no shadows on the trapdoors, and you can tell the Beethro was simply flipped by the fact that light is shining on his left cheek, which is the opposite direction of the light. Oops!
Entry 5 - Tisk Tisk Tisk...Didn't the forum mention at one point that DROD would use the Quake engine?
Entry 6 - As interesting as it was, I was able to tell that all they did was create a custom mod for the normal AE. As cool as it looks, all of the graphics are still 14x14, leaving it to be a fake screen.
Entry 7 - Odds are, this is the real one. Knowing everyone was hyping over hearing there may be a screenshot of JtRH, Erik decided to keep his tradition of not revealing any information. Nice prank!
Entry 8 - All they did was mod a snake and a wraithwing. Not visually stimulating, either.
Entry 9 - When I first saw this one, two thoughts crossed my mind, both of which contradicted each other. At first, I was impressed by the amount of detail that went into the drawing, but I also saw the inaccuracy and all the faults almost right away. The squares are something stupid like 18x18, the graphics are very blurry, and it steers away from the "
Top-down"
view. This will, odds are, be the one that wins though..
