So for some reason unlocking Steam achievements for KDD doesn't work. I get the "Challenge completed" notification in-game, but the actual Steam achievements don't get awarded.

I think there is an internal ID mismatch. I've tried fixing it for the

But You Can't Hide
(KDD) L1:6N2W - Don't hide in the alcove

achievement. Would you please try earning that one again and confirm that it now gets awarded? Thanks!

I'm having the same problem, I just tried the "But You Can't Hide" challenge and the achievement did not unlock.

EDIT: But only the "You can't hide" achievement.

Sure, and it didn't help.

Though I noticed that the challenge name in-hold is "Moderate Striker" while the Steam achievement is named "Moderate Smiter". Could that be a cause? Also I noticed that L2:2E's in-hold challenge name is "Cornered in the Centre" while the Steam achievement is named "Cornered in the Center".

Just finished my exhaustive check on all KDD achievements, and indeed currently on L5 2N achievement isn't being sent properly.

Incidentally, the "Master Hold" achievement becomes un-unlockable if you import a mastered save from a profile, so a more robust way of detecting master hold status is needed. I'd say making entering the last room of "The Ending" also triggers an achievement send just in case.

Master door shouldn't be closed, unless you haven't mastered the hold because you either haven't conquered the hold, or didn't have 100% secret rooms completion. Steam achievements have nothing to do with master doors opening/closing, which is stored in your player save.

I had mastered it in Drod 2.0... were rooms added? it does show "100%" in the name of the hold... granted I did import it in second sky before importing it into the steam release because I intended to finish the mastery section entirely.

I found out why it wasn't open anymore. checkpoints at the stairs are so convenient now that they work multiple times!

(I tested that by going on TSS but when I got back to the steam version and went to the exit it showed 100% completion directly while TSS had shown 95%. So I'm in the same situation, hold mastered but no achievement for it triggered because it was already mastered in the save.)

Ah, that's exactly what it is. I've rekeyed the first one to match the in-game name. The second one was only a cosmetic issue, but I synced it on Steam anyway.

I can confirm that as well, but it only unlocked after replaying the level from scratch, didn't work using restore point.

I can get the achievement using restore point. Just make sure you restart the game to make the change apply!

I've just uploaded a Steam patch (on Windows for now) that will grant you official hold win/mastery achievements when you import a player profile/saves with this data.
