I don't think DROD has a built-in function.

On Windows or Linux, you can press Alt-Printscreen to capture the active window and then paste it into an image editor like Paint.

On a Mac, you can press Command-Shift-4, Space, click in the window and it'll save a screenshot on the desktop.

Okay, with sound on I can hear the click.

...Where do they go? Nothing ends up in the clipboard, and I'm not seeing anything new (on Windows) in the DROD directory, the user data directory with the .dat files, My Documents, the desktop, the Pictures library or anywhere else that immediately springs to mind.

Edit: Nevermind, Procmon shows it trying to write to the user data path on D: instead of C: and failing miserably. There's a bug here somewhere but I'll track it down later.

The hard copies created by Drod are not very good (jpg) and you cannot select what to copy.

In Windows 7 (and later?) you may want to use the snipping tool:

Press the Windows key and enter snip. The first (and probably only) program in the list should be the tool.

The rest is easy...

Best wishes,

Alternatively, Alt + Print Screen copies just the active window, which can then be pasted into imgur or your paint programming etc.

As mentioned already.

With the snipping tool you can select the area to be copied, save in several formats and even do some elementary painting.

Don't worry dude, I saw your post. More methods don't hurt, and mine's super fast if you just want a quick screenie uploaded somewhere for e.g. chat.

I don't worry at all. "Your" method was mentioned by Tuttle 10 hours ago.
