My guess is that you're missing something in the top part.

×because of the green gates, after stabbing the eye at 12,24 every monster in the room will have to be dead. Because of this you either have to have something stand on the plate at 14,23 then get to you, which is impossible or do something much more straightforward. Said straightforward option is easier said than done due to some complications, but I'll leave it up to you for now.
