This hold features a single level containing a large number of puzzle rooms of easy difficulty, and a variety of elements used.

Can you conquer the land of Foursquare?

Thanks to Nuntar, Dischorran and lopsidation for beta testing!

A simple hold with no storyline or progression, just a single level containing 32 one-room puzzles that can be solved in any order. Fortunately, the puzzles are excellent -- relatively easy difficulty, comparable to Beethro and the Cake, with a good amount of variety and focus on linchpins. Some rooms seemed daunting at first, but I don't think there's a single room I found more frustrating than fun.

Overall verdict:
4 brains
9 fun/quality

I thought this hold was great fun. A shame it's over already. I really appreciate the focus on enjoyable rooms rather than puzzles aiming for difficulty. Lots of cool ideas in this hold. Good stuff.:thumbsup

An excellent relatively easy hold.
The placement of check marks is very user friendly and I recommend playing it.

The puzzles are easy enough to don't get stuck by hours and they aren't too obvious to complete them.
Layout isn't random. It's pretty mild, so you can focus on puzzle solving. Oh, and that way to the stairs complements design pretty good.
I don't really care how many rooms contains a hold so...

10 for fun. (This is my first user-made completed hold :D)
4 for difficult.

Yay!

Coffee Break DROD

This is a very easy hold that allows you to solve a simple room or two without the risk of getting stuck when you only have a couple of minutes to spare. Don't mistake it for being newbie-friendly though; it uses elements from all eras of DROD, doesn't teach or handhold, and the puzzle design is solid. No real frills or flaws.

I enjoyed playing this a lot! It's not very difficult, but there's some nice lynchpins for the player to figure out, and rooms never felt trivial. No tedious execution anywhere, solid puzzles throughout.

As mentioned above, there are some great lynchpins that are satisfying to figure out, and are never as tedious to execute as "upper notch" holds, such as Beethro's Teacher. Though some rooms had solutions more likely unintended than not such as

In addition, there are a few combat/tactical rooms similar in style to the Arena (an enclosed space where you kill a large number of enemies) that I personally find fun, but don't have any actual lynchpin solutions (also just like an arena).

9 Fun
4 Difficulty
