It's easy to see which version of the engine you are running, thanks to it being displayed on the title screen. Which version of a hold you have isn't easily determinable...

I believe CaravelNet checks the version of the holds to see if you have the latest version... Could this version number not be made visible to us humans (on the hold select screen maybe)? If not, perhaps a scroll could be added/amended each time a hold is updated, in an easy to reach location (first few rooms).

The issue is that there isn't such a thing as manually updated hold version which we could expose - DROD uses LastUpdateDate value. Nothing stops us from exposing it somewhere on Change Location screen.

Unofficial holds too, please.

I've been playing old holds, and sometimes the H&S threads make me wonder if the version I'm playing is newer than what others played. (example)
