I was asked to share some thoughts on the forums about the game, so here it is.
My DROD experience has started from DROD: AE (before DROD: JtRH was released), have played all the official "
big"
releases.
Some occasional SmS (Finding the First Truth and Suit Pursuit), and from non-officials: some Gigantic Jewel Lost done and Advanced Concepts 1-2.
TSS I have done good ending, now working on mastering.
When I started The Second Sky, I was almost squeeling like a little girl from excitement, since long waiting was finally over.
I was very happy about that you didn't have much of very easy tutorial rooms (like the whole DROD4, which I kinda completed in same time as the level MoAR in DROD5...)
Great job at picking up good new mechanics for TSS, I really haven't found a one I didn't like.
I really enjoyed Temporal tokens and new weapons, caber being the favorite.
I just love this game. The joy of just staring at the screen, and figuring out what to do, and finally solving it.
The huge amount of content it already has, and propably more to come later.
Already spent some about 55 hours already on this, and still seeing alot more stuff to do.

×Story was great, althou I am still little bit mixed about what was inside Nethlekempt Farrows. Beginning and middle were very strong points of the story.
I think allowing to go for ending early wasn't really the best idea.
After I kinda rushed to end, I felt like I was done with the game on next day, kinda like robbed myself from enjoyment.
Luckily that enjoyment was replenished after founding the Chapter 11,
and that was almost by accident I happened to visit there after doing those extra places.
I would have liked to see some kinda of villain shouting in the end, not just your king shouting "There will be no safety measures in my throne room unless I say so!"
(too lazy to get off from the throne, or not enough helpers to move him with his throne, I guess)
Shame that eA1, even considering how important he actually was, was shown so little.
Oh, and as a sidenote, I didn't like the Critic or Nth Insulter, whoever she was, at all.
Just shows up, spouts some lines and then leaves, just being a bad attitude. At least the Place Defeatist was in positive attitude.

×There were some great variations on this issue.
You had some just awesome levels, and then some not-so-awesome.
The Levels I liked the most were Tar Recycling Annex, Eye of the Storm, Ore Refinery, Forbidden Underpass,
The Oubliette and Temporal Anomaly, oh and Caber Testing Area too!
The Levels I didn't like so much were:
Englos Defense (nice idea, but when doing same thing over and over for 3 waves, isn't really the best challenge.)
Empty Space (too empty)
and Seeding Grounds (simple puzzles but doing them over and over trying to just move around in keep in the same save file)
You had some use mechanic only once levels, like the Temporal Liches and Lemmings, and pretty much never seeing them again.
I wish you would had some extra usage from them later too.
And the big thing that was almost gone (even DROD4 had zero of it), Slimestuff... TRA was pretty much the only Tar level, and MF being the only real Fluff level.
I think there was 1 mud mother in Caber level (I found that level absolutely hilarious by the idea), and 4 Gel mother in Teaming up with Tendry.
So, there were no memorerable slimelevel like Abyssian Fortress of DROD3.
Revisit in KDD in final Chapter, I think the level as final chapter was just way too short, having about only 1 (althou big 2-room) real puzzle in whole level.
At least the music was nice there. (and thank you for the conqueror door)
