There is currently two viable routes through this hold both of which both will have rewarding outcomes.

I will post formulas for the monsters if anyone wants to see them.

Hold to finish.

Update: There is still the scripting bug that I am aware of. (The update for the strength is slightly delayed behind the visual cue of the third tick. This will be fixed in a later version so please do not exploit it for higher scores.)
v2. The Goblin king has his strength increased and the first non-black roach has had his gp increased by one to allow hitting exactly 100 gp for a certain route.
There is a following room that will sell sword / shield / Health.
And unless there is any major problems that come up I will consider this the final layout for the first few rooms.

Name changed to growing. See new post for changes.

The only path I found involves running straight for the Goblin King and only killing the brain, the roach blocking the path, and enough other roaches to get health behind them. After that, leveling up was easy and I could wait to boost the various monsters to reasonable tradeoffs for killing them. I ended with around 1100 HP and 501 REP.

In general, I think this is an interesting idea, but it is very difficult to gauge what the right tradeoff between HP and REP is. It seems possible I could have been willing to be hit harder by the post-goblin monsters and made it to 1000 REP. At the same time, if there's a way to get to 100 REP before killing the goblin king, I couldn't find it. I think my best was about 85 REP before the roaches became unkillable.

I worry that the butterfly effect is going to balloon in a hold based on this idea.

It is possible to get over 200 Rep actually!
However I agree that this idea would only work for a small hold, not that that is a bad thing. We need more small holds.

Why does waiting increase the counter? I found that slightly annoying.

The two routes I know for the v2 is:
1125 Hp 16Atk 11Def
3 Roaches remaining
200 in Pots left over
259 RP + GP
20 ticks

522HP 11Atk 6Def
7Roaches remaining
0 in Pots left over
130 RP + GP
14 ticks

If there is Other/Better routes known I would like to here of them.
I think that the point that you decide is when you start waiting excessively to boost the RP and GP you receive because that will be sub-optimal for the future.

And to Budja the waiting is often to your benefit as it will increase what the roaches and other monsters are worth.

Also as a side note: in the future it will be a funny compromise. The reason being; the script will trigger whenever you open a door while holding a sword, whereas it will not have to trigger if you are not holding a sword.

When i looked at the script of the roaches, i noticed you had to do it over and over and over again. To make life a little easier for you, know that you can set a default script for these things. The script will automatically take effect when you place the enemy (global)

Other than that, i really like the idea of growth. Instead of making new harder monsters in progressing levels, they will just get stronger for you. :)

The hold is close to finished product. See the first post for current hold. Monster formulas to follow:
M1-M5 refers to the period of growth times. For example at time 45 M1=15 M2=7 M3=5 M4=3 M5=3

I am more contented with this than before. I just want to know if there is a high xp, high time count route. Currently, my route comes in at 42-43 time count. I am open to lowering the xp for the 4000 level to 3000 if it makes the route possible. Open to other options as well.

My best route so far (for low time) is 39 - 1425 REP, for 1879 score.

My best route so far (for high time) is 106 - 4614 REP, for 1654 score.
