I played piano for 4 years and then continued practicing on my own. I'm not very good but I'm also not so bad

I love playing games music, expecially from Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts and some others. Of course I also love classical music but it is way more harder and requires lot of practice.
Sometimes I also play DroD webfoot music, the intro theme is awesome!

Oh that's nice! Writing lyrics is something I personally think is really hard. I've always wondered, what is created first? Music or lyrics?

an old friend of mine who was the most amazing piano player ever (i mean, name a song, he would play it perfect with out sheet music) used to do the music first, because he found that easier. I however find lyrics flow from me with ease, so i write the lyrics first as i find the music side more difficult, when we used to record in a studio we both used to make it up as we went along and he would put music (piano) to my words as i said them, (as i say, he was amazing sadly no longer with us). so i don't have anyone to jam with any more

I guess I'm a pretty decent pianist...not to try to brag or anything, but I got into one of the best music schools in the world after high school. I ended up leaving after 2 semesters because it was way too serious and completely took out the "fun" of music for me, but I still play on my own from time to time, I try to record when I can and I still gig when I can. I also have a side job teach high school drumline which is an absolute blast for me.

I tend to start writing parts of songs, but stop at the point where I need a melody/lyrics because I'm awful at that part as well.

I've been praised (I feel like a bragger now) for my drumming skills - though I don't own drums for now - when I've played in school. My main instrument is a keyboard which I play decently, but I only use it to find a good melody for computer music I make. It's fun, I recommend it.

Any accordion players here? I've wanted to play accordion for a long time now.

this was me, and my late friend is on piano, and doing the mixing in the studio. this is more soppy then the stuff we normally did, but its one of the few that we sort of finished before he died

and this is me badly trying to sing and play the piano at the same time, i mess up alot, and sing off key, its a bit of a train wreck trying to do it all by my self,
and for some reason when i recorded it the first few words of the song have been chopped of and then 4 words in it goes mental for a second, i don't no why, anyway its a live recording so its pretty bad quality and singing and i mess up, except at the end when i stop singing, and just concentrate on playing, words are by myself as well as the music. the words that are missed off are "when it's > hard" *i'm regretting this already*

I play alto sax and do some singing at karaoke nights. That's about it though. Used to play bass drum for marching band type things but I hated it.
