I have 4 snakes left, and maybe a I will kill 3 of them, but I cannot see any way to kill the last one...

I assume:
- I have to kill the brains
- I better not drop the trapdoor
- toggling the yellow gate will help. maybe.

so... what?

I think the level you mean is "Monster's nest" and not "prologue"
