I didn't want to interrupt the playing thread (but, I did! :blush) So I created a new thread to discuss bugs (or features?) that might come up while letting the others play in peace.

Someone Else's original thread is here.

The online version is here.

As for this:

Just a small bug I've found. You can place a tile over one that's already on the board. (also, the colors assigned to the new tile are the previous ones + any new ones).
Fixed!.

Change log:
4/22
Circular color regions no longer cause infinite recursion.
(Note: Recursion is now limited to 20, which means a color
chain longer than that, though valid, will not be drawn or
scored. I will fix this more elegantly later)
1/31
Version 2 of the rules and tiles implemented
     Center tile removed
     Color order changed
     Default tile choices modified
   Added new similar type functions
Allows new types to be easily based on previously existing ones
1/23
   Fixed the scoring bugs.
Each edge scores all connected tiles. Tiles covered multiple times are scored as such.
Tiles with "blocking" sections were being scored.

1/22
   Added scoring
   Added piece selection titling
Stopped selected piece from changing after a location has been picked
Stopped piece from rotating until location has been picked

One thing I noticed with the scoring - and I wasn't completely clear on this - in this state, where blue has 2 of his edges connected to the same 3 space area, he should get 6 points rather than 3.

This is now fixed.

Edit- Man... Now I see that I am scoring the "blocking" sections of 5A and 5B.
Edit 2 - Ok, fixed as well. Guess I didn't need to post this at all, eh? :?

I am trying to solve the scoring issue, brought up in the game thread, with circular regions.

In the following case, what should the score for yellow be? I can see justification for at least three different scores.

I am fairly confident that the intended score is 4 for this set up.

I can confirm that. Out of interest, though, what were the other options you were thinking of? I assume that one of them would be 7.

My logic in the scoring was that you would score one point per region you controlled (that is, per area in a hex) for each side of your colour. 4 comes naturally from that definition. I'd be interested to hear, though, what other scoring schemes you think would work.

Well if you think of this like two edges of the same color that are linked, you could make a case for either 7 or 8.

The other ways I was thinking of were either "Unique Entrances" or "Unique Paths"

In (A) below, it is possible to "utilize" both entrances to the first triple tile, allowing you to count it twice. This is similar to counting multiple segments on the same tile.

In (B), each unique path to a tile counts as a single point.

As you already said, to get 7, it is the same path as (B) without the doubling up of the triple hex.
