Yay! It was a long journey, but I finally got it. I suspect Pearls will follow very soon with 100th - at the rate he's going, probably in the next couple of days.

For those of you watching on YouTube, I've recorded a little more than a week's worth of content ahead of time, so due to scheduling it'll be a bit before the moment of ascension is uploaded. I had some uncertainty during the recording about whether I did it right or not, but it's great to have confirmation. Now I can take the post-game content at a slightly more relaxed pace...

Did you know that you can do that yourself just by changing the title when you make a post? I don't usually like it when people do this, but I think it's fine to do now. If not it's easily fixed.

I wonder how many people beat this game without registering to Caravel net. I like to think that there are a lot of them, because it amazes me that so few people have actually completed these games. Niche market I guess, since as far as puzzle games go, this one is the best (or at least most addictive) that I have played myself.

I guess I'm 106th Skywatcher then? 109 subtract 3? I notice many people putting this in their signature. I'd like to know I have the number right before I try to follow that tradition.

Also, this game is really really long. I mastered all the previous ones, and this one still took me just over 59 hours. Still got about half the secrets and most of the bonus levels to do too.

Congratulations mauvebutterfly! Yes, you are the 106th Skywatcher. It's an interesting question about the people who played the game without CaravelNet. I suspect some of the higher ups know roughly how many coppies of the game have sold, but there's no real way of knowing how many of the folks who bought the game without C-Net have actually completed the game. Only about 109 people with C-Net turned on have the Second Sky achievement out of 390 people with C-Net who have at least started the hold. I'm not sure if the proportion is the same for non C-Net players.

I highly doubt it. Players with an active CaravelNet account are also active on the forum, which is generally by far the most serious subset of players. It's not a representative sample in the slightest.

No new skywatchers to report, but I just noticed the bar has crept forward from 90% to 95%. Exciting times! Thanks to skell and mrimer for completing exactly 5% more of the upgrade to DROD 5.1. Now there's just the last 5% to go!

As we all know very well, the closer the bar gets to completion, the more precice it is with its measurements. Perhaps this time we will need to use scientific notation to properly communicate how many nines are after the decimal point. Perhaps we will have to use scientific notation to represent the scientific notation. Perhaps we will need scientific notation to show how many levels there are of scientific notation representing scientific notation.

Heh, that's funny, but oh, I don't know if that's true. I think I had the bar track TSS progress extremely accurately all the way through development from inception to completion.

Take a look at those graphs with respect to time. Tell me if you've ever seen a project manager provide such precise progress estimates from week to week, all the way through a multi-year project.
