I want to make a hold that will be composed of extraordinary rooms of many architects. These rooms will be placed in by difficulty or by their outstanding construction. I also think a limit of 6 for what people would think of for enjoyment. The levels would be separated by year of production and limited to one room by an author for each year and a total limit of 15 rooms for each year.

When published each room would have a description of where it is from and who made it. None of the rooms would be scoreable although players would be recognized for completing the levels.

I hope that this would be alright to bend the no republishing rooms rule that we have. I would also expect to be asking for permission from each individual person represented. Some rooms may be changed slightly at the owners permission to fit the hold layout, without changing the puzzle.

In the future new additions to the hall of fame would be in a new hold (the '12 to '14 or something like that)

Submitions will be by author or by the public and confirmed by vote. (Simple y/n 66% Yes to get in)

Sounds cool.
Maybe it could include commentary too.

Commentary might be interesting, but I'd have little interest in replaying the rooms. I'd request that such a work be Anyone Edit.

I would view it as a showcase hold. Anyone edit would be a good option for it then. Authors could include a how-it-was-made, perhaps even as a voice over.

I'm not quite sure exactly what the intention of this project is - is it just meant to be a showcase of rooms that are supposed to represent what kind of high-quality puzzles DROD is capable of having?

In any case, if this is supposed to be a compilation of already-published rooms, then it sounds like this kind of hold shouldn't be published, but should instead stay in Architecture. It could still get some prominent link somewhere on the main fansite or in a newsletter or something.

I'd like some more clarification as to what this will involve before I volunteer to join it. On the other hand, if it's as simple as I think (put a bunch of pre-existing rooms in a hub hallway, call it a day) I would probably sign up.

That is as simple as I expected it to be. I was thinking that it would be good to have published but as long as there is high traffic to this hold it doesn't matter if it is published or not. I think it would be really helpful for people to find out about other holds.
