Well, Castle Neuschwanstein comes to mind - although it's in a slightly more mountainous region... :)

Well, Castle Neuschwanstein comes to mind - although it's in a slightly more mountainous region... :) Cathedral of the Dormition of the Mother of God in the Dmitrovsky Kremlin was built between 1507 and 1533gg., In the reign of Yuri Ivanovich Dmitrovsky (son of Ivan III), and in all probability, at his expense. Probably on the site of the cathedral was an older white-stone church of the XIV century.

Start of construction of the cathedral belongs to the researchers estimated in 1507, and ending at least laying the walls - to 1512. When completed finishing the temple - is unknown. Initially, the current cathedral was less than that now. A brick five-domed temple on a high basement and cellars lined with white stone, was originally surrounded by a covered arched gallery in two tiers, of which only western part. At the cathedral bell-tower was located on the north, it was included in the base wall of one of the chapels adjoined later. Like most churches of the XVI century, the Assumption Cathedral was pozakomarnoe coverage in 1790. replaced by hipped roof. Heads were not bulbous, and hooded, covered wooden "scales"-plowshares, and their drums were brick, but in the same 1790. They were replaced with light wood.)

That Cathedral does look lovely. I would be hard put to it to select just one place as my favourite - a bit like choosing my Desert Island Discs (a long running radio programme here). I'll give it some thought and see if I can pick out a photo or two. :)

I hope Vladilav will forgive me for bumping this, but I'm just back from another week in my favourite place - Raasay (wish I could afford to have internet there - it would be so much easier!). I always take pics when I'm there and I thought you might like to have a look at these:

A rosebush in the garden has suddenly sprung to life (I had pruned it last Autumn and that maybe helped):

I have got into the (very healthy!) habit of walking each evening; only a couple of miles but it is already making a difference I think. This was the sunset one evening:

There was a heavy shower one day and this appeared over the back garden (I would have needed a very wide wide-angle lens to take all of it - it was a complete arc) :

And finally, another late evening walk and another lovely sunset:
