I've been on ADSL for about a month now, and I've noticed that the only place my internet connection lags is when I'm posting something on this site. My Firefox window sits there for 5-20 seconds waiting for drod.net to reply to it.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is adding to the database somehow slower on the new server, or is it just me?

Edit: timed it, waited 18 seconds for this post to go through. So I modified the wait time appropriately. Amusingly, I didn't have to wait at all when I edited.

Testing my own timing. Will edit it in.

For me, it took a whopping 1 second. Give or take a half second.

Actually, shortly after starting this thread, my wait time also dropped to just about nil. Maybe it's just internet traffic spiking or something.

If you're on at your contry's peak times, your internet is normally lagged because of the mass of people connected. I myself am connected to my dad's network, which is GPRS with their own satellite (company property).
