Where is the little meter for the next version of 2D DROD? The version that can stop bdcribbs from trying to play a perfect game?

I'm not a big fan of progress meters. However, according to Erik, the next release is 98% done for beta testing. I'm not going to put in any progress meters because I think they give people false hope. I worked as a programmer at a company for a summer a couple of years ago and we had a saying: "2-98". It meant that the last 2% of the work always took 98% of the time.

Then the DROD 3d completion meter should be probably be removed, unless it is staying up for historical reasons.

The only reason I'm hesitant to remove that is people might think it's been discontinued. I wouldn't want people to give up hope.

Maybe replace the bars with a description? Something like:

Caravel DROD next release: pre-beta.
DROD 3D: In development.

And update whenever major progress occurs. That way people will know the state of the projects, without any commitment to percentiles or such.

Good idea. I might end up doing something like that.
