I find this confusing. What's the configuration to aim for?

The roach must be kept next to the hot tile. So it seems that all the tokens (but one) have to be in the "green" state just before heading through the three-trapdoor corridor. And at least 1 monster must step onto a red token at the same time Beethro goes through the corridor. Closest I can get uses a monster stepping onto a red at 6,16 and then getting stuck at 6,17 between two green ones.

Sounds like a good analysis.

But which token should be left red? Well, if one particular token doesn't work, you could always try another....
