i have tried killing off tar and mud first successfully.

then i tried gel first. i cant get anywhere with the gel corner.

I am very efficient with my moves, too.

any hints?

You can kill the eye in the gel-quorner first, and then you have a way in. Then you must go for the tar quorner.

I have been very efficient with my moves, but I only have time to kill one eye of the green gel mama. Then she grows and I can't get in.

its the green gel below and to the left of me. if i move down to the right i cant get to a fighting square fast enough to kill him

Bah! I have been giving faulty advice. Th Gel mother is the last mother to kill. Start with the Tar mother, then the Mud mother, and then the Gel mother.

It is very true that you can't get out if you start with the Gel mother.
