Lost in a City : Interlude: Aumtlich's Revenge : 1 South (0)

I can't solve this room.
The fellow in this room is not beethro and he can not defense himself.
The roaches always kill him.
Can somebody helps me to solve this room?

Aumtlich has no sword, but he can kill enemies by stepping on them! Just try :)
