And similarly, Frozen Synapse alone is a bundle of bytes. But it is not a bundle of games.

Well, if you pay more then about 4.50 USD right now you'll get Trine, both Shadowground games and a game-prototype along with Frozen Synapse, so it's a bit more than just a single game and a "pre-order" for another one.

That, and there's always the possibility of more games being added to the bundle in the next two weeks...

np: Walls - Drunken Galleon (Coracle)

Awesome game! (my impression after a few levels).
Not sure about Frozen Synapse yet. Do you like it?

Another "bundle" has appeared with only one game (Voxatron) in it.
Btw, the game is still in alpha.
(At least the don't call it a bundle now).

humblebundle.com

I already bought it, I have been looking forward to this game.
Anyway, I hope they add something more to it.

I don't really know where they are going with this bundles. I understand this makes a lot of money...
They make 1-2 M$ in each of them and half of that (estimating everybody does the default split) goes to the developers.
But in the "indie" spirit they said they were promoting (at least at the beginning), it's a pity they are turning down games like DROD for a bundle and making bundles with one single game still in alpha.

I wonder how hard would it be to set up a thing like this for one (or various!) DROD games (maybe with also other puzzle games).
Now that The Next Big Project is nigh, it could give DROD some visibility and bring more people to the community.

That game needs dual-stick control badly...

Oh, and they added The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter to the bundle if you pay more than the current average.

np: Cypress Hill - Amplified (Stoned Raiders)

I agree... it is impossible to survive when you are surrounded and need to turn your gun around but keep running in the same direction.

Awesome news, I was going to buy The Binding of Isaac one of these days, I won't need to now :).

Also, I kinda reviewed Blocks that matter here.
My veredict: it's a fun game.

The Humble Introversion Bundle is here!

It includes Uplink, Darwinia, Defcon, and Multiwinia.

Also, if you pay more than the average you get Aquaria and Crayon Physics Deluxe (both of which have appeared in previous bundles).

Yet another humble bundle, with a twist:

http://www.humblebundle.com/

* Anomaly: Warzone Earth (tower defense-ish game)
* Osmos (relaxing skill game)
* World Of Goo (non-relaxing skill game)
* EDGE (3D platform game with cubes)

Not only for Windows, Mac and Linux and Steam, but this time also for Android. <-- TWIST! (YMMV)

So if you've got an android device and want some rather good games for it (or just want those games for your PC) you know where to get them... :)

np: Maya Jane Coles - Little One (The Top 100 Tracks Of 2011)

Fair warning, Osmos is only relaxing in the early levels. Epicycles has some of the hardest levels I've played in any game.

Heh. I preordered Botanicula on Gog.com and already have all the other games (except for the movie, of course) - I guess I'll gift a copy of the bundle to a friend and watch the movie with them... :)

Oh yeah, and Botanicula is fun - which of course was quite expected due to it coming from Amanita Design.

New bundle!! http://www.humblebundle.com/

Contains Psychonauts, Limbo, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP, and if you pay more than the average, Bastion.

Definitely the best bundle so far..

Psychonauts is pretty much mandatory gaming. And Limbo has a great design, and Bastion has a great soundtrack. Can't go wrong (unless you've already played most of them...).

At some point this becomes them re-releasing the same games repeatedly and making painfully high amounts of money doing it.

This'd be considered unethical if EA was doing it.

You would have to have a very broad definition of "unethical" to consider a sale of crazy good games for crazy cheap prices with no DRM and the majority of the profit going straight to developers and charities as such.

I'd buy this even if it was just Bastion and the soundtrack, or only Psychonauts and the soundtrack. That it is both those things simultaneously, while also containing a bunch of other things, is completely incredible. I agree with the others saying that this is the best bundle to date.

[Insert "yearly franchise" joke here]

I don't really see the problem, though. I've played most of these games - so I didn't get the bundle. If they want to keep recycling or turn into a developer-exploiting machine, they're free to kill their own brand like anyone else.

There's probably a good reason. For one thing, people think of limited-time offers as special and worth more consideration.

Like my coworker who has 150 games on steam and haven't played even a third of them - bought them all only because there was a limited-time offer.

I'm proud to say that I haven't bought a single indie bundle, for the reason that I had most of the games already every time, and those were the ones I wanted anyway.

That said, I support the bundles wholeheartedly. The more people buy cheap good indie games, the more cheap good indie games are going to be released in the future.

Well, do you know anyone who doesn't own the games you like in the bundle? If so, it is an excellent opportunity for a surprise gift.
