It definetly is not a bug. Also, it might be weird to make such a post as the first post, but this is really bugging me. Hoping to contribute to forum in the future, but as of now it is impossible. Problem description is below.
When I try to run DROD in Windowed mode on a 1280x800 resolution, max on my lappy, the bottommost part becomes impossible to see because the panel covers it.
Answers to possible questions:
Q: Any workaround found yet?
A: I managed to solve it by autohiding the panel, however I'd preffer to always keep it. So that ain't a real solution.
Q: What operating system?
A: Ubuntu Linux with GNOME
Q: Tried setting bigger resolution by editing xorg.conf?
Pointless. My monitor does not support it.
Q: Maybe it's Compiz tricks?
A: Most certainly not. I use Metacity.
Q: Laughing man? wtf?
A: Read this.

I've had the same issue for years and my workaround is also to auto-hide the panel. Guess it would be nice if windowed mode took into account both width and height...
