In the Patronage, I found something quite strange... which may be a clue to something else. If you look closely, you can see in 1S the pit thing's face in The Uncturage. In 1E, you can see it again. Could the pit thing be..

Huh? I see no Pit Thing's avatar neither in 1S nor in 1E in The Patronage. Could you please post a screenshot of what you see?

I don't think he means the avatar, I think he means the layout of clean floor is similar to the layout of the floor in the Uncturage rooms where you speak to the Pit Thing.

I don't think the three rooms are similar enough to draw a connection, and there is also a secret room later on that is unlike any of these.

Interesting possibility though.

Ah, True. There is a secret room that shows that.. but in the asking chamber, the pit thing says he's been keeping an eye on Beethro, this may mean some similarity between that. I wonder if there are any more floor patterns relating to the pit thing.
