This is the level design challenge for September. The idea behind this contest is as follows: One Lousy Gem. You may not place additional gems in the level (no, not gems-in-dirt or gems-in-a-wall either). Nevertheless, the gem quota must be at least 50 gems.

You can download the levels here: http://crystalshard.net/test/September.zip

Please vote for the level you like best. Participants may vote (because turnout would be a lot lower otherwise also it's not like we can stop them or anything); however, I'd appreciate it if everybody did not simply vote for themselves :)

Thanks to everyone who participated!

I voted for B.J.Earles' Mother of All Diamonds, for two reasons:
1) His entry for September :glasses is far better than mine :sick, and
2) Since it was the only other entry, it was the only one I could vote for.

I too, voted for B. J.'s level. It felt like it had a lot of intricacy.

Mystic's level isn't bad, but I agree that Bj's is better.

Yes, it was bad; or more accurately, it was a good idea that got badly executed. I tried to make a level that filled with more and more objects, becoming more difficult to solve as time passed. I made something similar a few years ago (see my "Uncommon Multiplier" level in the 2007 set), but it didn't seem to work very well here.
