Yeah, well - in case someone (like me) still needs to get a hold of those: they've just been added to Steam at 7.49 EUR each (the whole collection, that is)...

Now I just hope ScummVM can deal with 'em... :D

np: 2001 - Future Bass Seven (B12 - B12 Records Archive Vol. 1 (Disc 2))

ScummVM is made for games made with Scumm. That's LucasArt's system, not Sierra's.

That said, the collections run fine on XP.

There are also Leisure Suit Larry and Police Quest collections. It's worth noting that all the collections save for King's Quest (which never got an official remake due to the excellent unofficial one) lack the first game in the series, instead opting for its remake. They're the superior versions, but it's jarring going to the second game and finding 8 color graphics and a text parser.

My local game shop sells the collections for 9 euros each.

I find that better than using Steam.

(Although I must say I personally don't like Sierra's games, so I bought Sam and Max Season One instead.)

When did that happen?

Well, it uses DosBOX if you just run them from the launcher, so ScummVM is probably a better choice.

I got them off Direct2Drive, so if you don't want to go to retail or deal with Steam's interface, that's your best bet.
