Bots. Let's not.

While I am an electronic being, I do not like the feel of cold heartless steel clicking me. I enjoy when the large bags of meat lovingly click me instead.

I understand that people want to participate, and it seems like it's hard to come across a Really Big Sword. I've done a few things to try to help - they come out fairly frequently, and if you don't have the game even opened yet, there's a good chance you'll get one without too many clicks. I make some effort to ensure that no one person can grab too many Swords in a day.

I told Schik to give away Swords when people nominate holds for CSR's annual contest. I'm open to giving Swords for things other than clicking me, I just don't know what those things should be. Most ideas I have would be too easily manipulated.

By my count you've gotten two swords now, in 97 clicks. Not a bad average compared to a lot of people.

Some of us do. The catch is that we have to guess where we'll end up *before* entering the moveset. The paths I drew on my maps are what I've learned from the guess, but they were *not* where I thought I might be from the guess.

Blocks outlined with red are tested: no pass. Which means that there could be an opening in one of the blocks outlined with blue. If there isn't, then we're up to some tunnels (or yellow doors? or broken orbs? or secret walls?)

TFMurphy found a route through the blue section here: http://forum.caravelgames.com/viewtopic.php?TopicID=29658&page=6#310892

It looks to me that the northwest section is a trapdoor/arrow maze; you then retreat out of the same entrance you came from through your first blue square to the rest of the room.

I'd also say that the roach at the bottom left is set to go into an arrow trap, so after dropping the red door you'll need to get down low to have it avoid the arrows. That suggests there probably aren't any trapdoors down the lower left, and I wouldn't be surprised if you're forced to drop the lower right trapdoors last so that you're having to fight off the bottom right roaches in an optimised way to prevent the bottom left roach getting trapped.

Just some thoughts, anyway :)

step 1: fire up DRoD
step 2: connect to CaravelNet (the box shows a green checkmark)
step 3: fire up the web browser of your choice
step 4: come to the forum and click the bar

This is not guaranteed to work but it is how I got my first and only Really Big Sword.

Your guess is incorrect, specifically, the gap at the bottom of the area to the right should be one space to the right.

You mean the bit I've outlined in green? It can't be one further to the right, or the roach on the southeast arrow would have escaped to the southwest as you're moving along below it. (Or I'm missing something.)

(Edit: it could be, if the entrance was a north arrow.. but then you'd think the exit would be a south arrow for consistency).

(Edit2: Ah, I see.. I missed TFMurphy's guess that led into that area. His guess must have a bit of bumping involved but it looks like you might be right - let me look at the possibilities..)

(Edit3: Have revealed the square you're talking about to be a wall :))

Huh. Well, I don't know then. But I definitely bumped into the space two to the left of the one you just revealed. Unless the square above that is a wall...

FYI I have been working on the area in the top left. Only I have not gotten there yet. I got killed by the roaches after using Dooms solution to that point. I think it was me though. Wrong sword action. Waiting for new sword.
