This is a short TCB hold where each room needs to be cleared while holding your sword in a specific direction.

Here's the sequel to Directions of the Compass, this time using TCB elements and a little trickier. In each room, as in the previous hold, you face a different type of monster with a different sword direction. Brian_s has done a nice job making all the rooms very different from each other. My favorites were 1W (aumtlich) and 1S (roaches, arrow rotators, and fegundos).

This is a nice short hold and a decent challenge that doesn't overstay its welcome (although coming so soon after the hot tile rooms of Complex Complex, it perhaps suffers ever so slightly).

The rooms are, for the most part, well crafted - the aumtlich and fegundo rooms, as mentioned above, make for interesting challenges when turning is forbidden, and the adder and rock giant manipulation puzzles are also neat. On the other hand, it turns out that clearing mud, tar, and especially gel with a fixed sword orientation is slightly tedious, but you can't win them all.

Well worth playing!

Yeah, what Dischorran said. There's a nice variety here, and a number of the rooms consist of several minipuzzles. No doubt that this is worth the time it takes to play--which needn't be very long, and at least if you get stuck there are seven other rooms to try.

Conquered.

I enjoyed this hold a lot. It was a nice mix of relaxing-difficulty rooms(1N, 1W, 1S, 1S 1W) and some quite challenging rooms(1N 1E, 1N 1W, 1E, 1S 1E). I enjoyed those more challenging rooms more than easy ones, though 1W was also very fun.

There was nothing in this hold that really annoyed me. There were some not-so-fun moments in 1N 1W, but it was covered by quite high difficulty of this room. And optimising also added some fun to rooms.

I give it 4 for brains and 7 for fun.

Fun and just the right challenge.

This is a simple hold with 8 puzzle rooms each of which forces a specific sword orientation. The rooms themselves are well constructed and whilst the solutions are fairly easy to identify, the execution can be a little more tricky.

Overall this is a nice little hold that's well worth the small amount of time it should take to finish.

My rating:

Difficulty: 5
Fun: 7
