When JtRH has ended, Beethro used The High Path to travel to the Empire, that's where TCB continues, but the journey wasn't as easy as he thought, many new dangers and secrets awaited him at the time. And it looks like some evil is lurking in the shadows...

We do want to have an actual story in this, the first secret room is an introduction to some of it.

This is work in progress, feedback is very welcome and ideas would be appreciated as well. I'm also considering making this some sort of collaboration hold if there is any interest.

We want to do some crazy stuff with this hold and we'll try to things in a new way. Unfortunately not everything is possible with 4.0's engine, but who knows what 5.0 will bring?

Nice little hold you have here!

A few problems, however. If you return to the entrance room in The High Path, you can see the Beethro cutscene character in the lower right of the room. Also, Under the Bridge 1S could be solved very easily by killing all the roaches and running down to the secret room. When you returned to the room from the entrance, you could avoid many of the briar traps and roach traps. Putting a conquer token just before the tunnel would solve that.

Cutscene character bug removed.
Under the Bridge: 1S conquer token added.
Under the Bridge: 1E much more fun and challenging.
Added 12th Archivist to the "Feedback and Ideas" scroll.

Hmm... The bridge doesn't work as you intend. The builders clutter up, and block each other.

-Added one room (on The High Path).
-Renamed Under the Bridge to Under Bridge 69, because there are lots and lots more on the high path.

Under The Bridge 69 1E needs a checkpoint just before the trapdoors in my opinion. So far good though.

In Under The Bridge 69: 1E it's possible to hit cracked orb before killing all the roaches, and then kill last roach while standing on sister-green door and exit after that(without dropping any trapdoors).

EDIT: High path: 2N 3E is a nice wraithwing killing puzzle.

-Added mxvladi to the "Feedback and Ideas scroll".
-The mirror is in middle and to access orb room must be conquered in Under Bridge 68 1E.
-Reduced spiders in Interlude: Slayer Slaughter 1E.

That's it, from Monday to Friday I don't have many time for DROD because stupid school, but in weekends I surely have! ;)

I felt like the spider room with a slayer was really simple, I have no idea how to make a puzzle like this, but I think it would be nice to have to use the body and the hook in order to complete it.

Don't have a lot to say, I like it.
Looking forward to this hold being finished.

I sort of feel like the first few levels are a bit too short, however if you have a lot of them that balances it I guess.

The one minor complaint I do have is that the automated door etc. scripts were a *bit* too unintuitive, but that's probably because I didn't bother reading the scrolls right away. :?

Maybe it would be better to just replace them by pressure plate doors like the one seen after.

I really liked this hold. Nice atmospheric feel with the mist. Good briar puzzles, though I am not too good with briars, and I liked the guard-killing room (Guards are one thing I know all too well and am quite good against in my opinion)

Overall, so far, I think a fun and slightly challenging hold :thumbsup

This is a neat idea for a hold, and I hope it continues. :)

I like the feel of the High Path level, and I really like the two puzzle rooms (1E and 1S) in Under Bridge 69.

I didn't find the Interlude very interesting. Like VIPCOOL said, it's more fun to be a slayer when you have to use the slayer's special abilities:
- kill monsters with hook and with body, sometimes two at a time
- monsters don't move until the slayer kills one or steps on a power token

I do love the feel to this one. Depressingly short, but well made non-the-less.

I agree that the guards should be a little more spaced out, but i also feel like there should be a few more of them. maybe a little bit bigger room so your not fighting them right in the entrance.

I have great faith that this one will get much better quickly.

So... it has been some years.
I decided to download DROD again since one of my friends mentioned it. This hold is good so far but I didn't have the time to finish it back then.

I might pick it up something (perhaps with one of my friends), I was actually building a giant hold for JTRH (2 levels, wanted to release part 1 at 5 levels) but my PC crashed. This was before this hold though.

I doubt any of the old posters will use this, but if you'd like we could build update this hold piece by piece making this a collaboration.

Things I noticed while replaying:
- Dat English.
- I thought I created the tunnel part already, probably never uploaded it since I reformatted my pc one year after I stopped playing DROD.
- Stupid secret room.
- Interlude is stupid but could be made a lot better.

I updated my mail so if anyone replies (which I doubt) I'll see it right away.
