Well, here is mine. It involves the programming language Python, but no detailed knowledge about it should be necessary.



I'll edit this once to get the right attachment number inside the secret tag. Is there a way to guess what the number is going to be, in advance?

EDIT: well, I had to edit it twice because of the img tag. Seems to work now...

60 is not prime.

By the way, you can't guess the attatchment ID in advance. Look around; you'll never see a post with an imbedded image attatched that hasn't been edited.

If I'm right, someone else can go.

Er...yes...but my point was that you don't absolutely have to edit the post if you happen to know the number of the most recent file posted to the entire forum; just use the next highest number (as you'd mentioned) and presto.

Well, I suppose you could try attachment numbers until you get an invalid page, and use that page's URL.

You are right. I removed one # character from the screenshot, so it appears the program printed 60 of them on one line. But it can't very well do that, if it gets all the other small primes right, can it?

I don't have any other ideas for this, so someone else (and not necessarily Someone Else) should indeed go.

(Thanks, Lamkin, for the tip. I certainly don't mind a little derailing, since we can get back on the rails in this thread any time we want.)

Okay, it seems a bit unfair for me to be answering Maurog's post because I've only watched someone else play the game, but I'll go anyway...

The voodoo mask boss we have here is a sequential boss with multiple forms. You've posted a picture of its first form, but the boss here should be in its second form if it has a health bar that low, since it changes to its second form at around half health (?). You probably took a picture of the situation when the boss's health bar was higher and modified the health bar to be closer to death.

Errr... floaters are the guys with the umbrellas. The status bar says "3 out" so he must have spent 3 umbrellas for those guys already (they wouldn't have survived the drop otherwise), plus there's obviously one lemming that's currently 'chuting down. That makes at least 4 used "floaters"...

"Home 3" means three lemmings have already entered the home. On this level ("Fun" Level 2) lemmings can only reach the home with the floater skill. Therefore, at least four floaters have been used. (Actually, only three have and it's the "Home 3" that was altered, but there was no way of knowing this, so I gave Maurog the points for correctly identifying the discrepancy.)

EDIT: Post collision. "Out 3" actually refers to the number of lemmings on the level at the current time (a useful thing to know on larger levels where you can't see all the screen at once).

I doubt it. It looks like those are things about to be dropped down one by one, and the screenshot is taken as the first falls.

How about at least telling us where the screenshot is from? A google search for "Voodoo Mask" just turns up a lot of WoW bilge.

Aha!

So.... is the answer that you couldn't possibly have 84 points, because you get 2 each hit, and each hit takes off half a "unit" of the health bar, and his health has decreased by 18 1/2 units and not 21?

Each type of attack (fire, those things shown in the screenshot, those things coming from his eyes) starts about a second before the previous one finishes. Thus you always see two of the forms on the screen at one time. Here we only have one.
