ZSnes is one thing, but what's the icon to the left of that? Looks kinda familiar, but I can't seem to put my finger on it...

Here is what my desktop looks like when I'm on the computers lab at the university, which is the only place I've got access to a computer at the moment. Since I'm not able to install whatever I want, it looks really tidy and neat, if I may say so myself. This also means no DROD for now.

About time I bought myself a laptop...

Actually I just decided to post this because I accidentaly corrupted my user profile yesterday, so I had to redo all my desktop settings, and I like the way it turned out... My windows are color coordinated with my desktop too.

OK, I admit it, my desktop is a little disorganized. Slightly worse due to an inadvertant "reorganize my desktop" click earlier today. Mostly, though, it clutters up with files and folders, the only interesting one of which is "Games I Shouldn't Be Playing", for things that I don't want to access too easily because I'll just sit around playing games all day. I'm not sure there's a single shortcut or program file on my desktop that I ever use. (The DROD installer is sitting there, for some reason.)

No, the part where I'm really organized is, well:



The background on my desktop has been, for about three and a half years, http://www.mit.edu/~puzzle/03/www.acme-corp.com/teamGuest/3/images/stained-glass-tomb-large.jpg . The puzzle it came from was kind of terrible (trust me, I wrote it), but the image, done by my friend Mark Halpin, was and is fantastic.

Well you could argue that the lack of a DROD icon is it, but nope in both cases.

fyi, I actually aquired this computer recently, thus I figured I might as well wait until the 3.1 patch comes out before I redownload the installer file and cart the .dat files from machine to machine.

Also, avoid bitmap files PLEASE!

So I'm not sure if this is to what you were referring, but I figured the fact that there was only ever 1 download for your attachment was a little odd. Then I realized the image linked to in your post is not the attachment. However, as far as I can tell they are the same image (just resized).

Well, no icons on the desktop for me - and no, they're not hidden behind that Foobar2000 window, it's just that I consider that window an integral part of my desktop...

(Oh yeah, that toolbar next to the start button - that's actually my desktop icons... for everything else, there's the Start menu, after all...)

Nah, that happens. He has quite a lot in his system tray.
I suspect it's that he seems to have used so little of his disk space.
