Ok, i'm stuck. Both 1 south and 1 east of The dungeon level 2 in King Reubus' Palace are driving me crazy.

I just can't remove all of the tar quickly enough to drop the trapdoors before the tar mother becomes unreachable. How can I get rid of all the tar in time?

Hmm... Well, 1E is easier than you think, and there's a move pattern you can use in 1S that will get you there with plenty of time to spare. For 1S, have you been removing vertical strips or horizontal strips?

Ive tried every way. At the moment i'm going in the middle on the left hand side and removing the left hand side first but its too slow.

You should be able to take down two columns per spawn cycle, going left to right. If you're really having difficulty, send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a demo of that method. I'll tell you now, though, that it requires being at the top of the tar at the beginning of one cycle, and then at the bottom at the beginning of the following cycle, and then back at the top again for the next one.

Here you go. On 1E, you don't really have to clear all the tar, just find the trap doors.
