A while back during a slow news period for DROD.net, I was going to hold a DROD Haiku contest. I decided against it because I didn\'t have anything to offer as an award, and I doubted I\'d get very many submissions.

So... We\'re going to hold the contest here on the forum... with prizes!

hai·ku - (\'hI-(\")kü) : noun
Etymology: Japanese
Date: 1902
Definition: An unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively;

Guidelines:

- Follow the 5, 7, 5 Syllable format.
- Keep Haikus DROD-related.
- Don\'t submit any more than 3 Haikus.
- Submit your Haiku to this board only!

On March 1st I\'ll close this thread and organize the submitted Haikus. Then I\'ll set up a poll for voting.
