Sorry I havn't posted in a while, I have been very busy lately with school and life. In my spare time I came up with a quick hold called Tar Time. These are some puzzles I came up with the use of tar. Report any bugs/tricks you see in this hold, enjoy!

What is your issue with tar? It's beautifully dynamic, creative yet orderly and predictable.

And it's the only way to make an antigreen door so far.

No, the 'Neather is unpredictable and a such-and such *****-******* **********er. Tar is predictable and copable.

The only unpredictable element is... tar mazes. And the tar mazes here had checkpoints.

I agree with Joker completely. Tar is my favourite game element, except when used to hide stuff.

I really don't like tar, because its function gets abused so much. However, yes, it can be very useful and enjoyable. I haven't played this hold yet, so I wouldn't know about it.

You only get trapped if you wait by a corner with a mother in the room. That's the sillyest thing you can do. Yellow doors are easily found by the lightning the orbs shoot. Checkpoints are traditionally hidden under mothers for ease of use(although the 3mother room in Dugan's doesn't have that policy).

Anyway, I think we're getting off topic.

I heartily reccomend this hold to any and all who want a challenge and/or like tar.

That's not true. I have an antigreen door without tar in my hold. I won't say how it works, you have to wait and see.

Curse you! Now I am curious and fascinated! Anyone who tries to make a psychological profile of me from my posts would have the trait "curious" in the top 3!

I suppose it's too much to ask for an expected test date?

anti-green doors are in a thread posted by joker5 (I think) in the Feature Requests board, and I can think of no less than 3 ways to implement them without adding a new feature. I'll make up a little mini-hold at some point that demonstrates them.

As a rule, when I have checkpoints under tar in one of my holds (like Reubus' Palace-Dungeon Level 2, 1S1W), I leave them exposed at the start of the room, so the player knows where they are.

You're too kind. It was Nillo, and the suggestion isn't original. But I am a firm supporter of these as all of the implementations I can think of are a little bulky, and not universial. I can think of some fun stuff using force arrows, tar, a mother, and a pair of doors. But that's too bulky, inelegant, and if it's messed up by the architect can make it impossible or create trivial solutions.

Naw, I'll wait till more people have tested it. Since it's somewhat linear there wont be any "getting-back-to-the-previous-room-to-solve-other-rooms-to-complete-this-darn-hold-sucessfully" bugs.

YEAH! I finally beat it; that next-to-last room really frustrated me 'cause I kept making mistakes(it's late over here). So I took a break and conquered the rest of the hold in one go. I heartily recommend this... the ending is funny too.

If you exit 1s1e to the east, you're stuck. Maybe that row of trap doors should stick you on the left side of the room.

Oh, and the entrance is hell. I almost didn't want to play the hold because of it.
