It doesn't appear to me to be solvable starting from east of the trapdoors.

I'm not sure who I'm voting for yet, but about DiMono's hold:
I beat it in 1116 moves and in 5:31. Its good, but it's not funny, which these holds are supposed to be.
I think Nillo's hold is sorta funny, though.

Hmm, Beethro starts out stood on a wall, above and to the left of the red door. I didn't think it was possible to have a room where Beethro starts this way.
It doesn't appear to me to be solvable starting from east of the trapdoors.
You guys are absolutely right. Very bizarre. I removed the "entrance room" per the rules of the thread. Then, put Beethro's starting point on the left side of the room before the traps. If you look at Beethro's current starting point, in the wall, it is at the same location in the entrance room that I removed. Very strange, and apparently a bug. I will reload the room this evening, and playtest it (I did not this time, it was like 4 in the morning when I uploaded this thing), and make sure everything is ok...

I'll start the poll tomorrow.
One more entry if you don't mind.
I'll gladly take last place from another less deserving room.

Two more, contained in the same hold.

Meh, previous rules specified you could only enter one. Gotta pick, my friend.

Here's my entry: Pilfer's Point. I spent a lot of time building and testing this, so you'd better like it. :)
I think it would definitely be a good idea to compile all the entries into a single hold after the contest and release it to the holds section.
I love this one even though I am unable to complete it yet. Whichever way I play it, I always seem to be one mimic short of a picnic.

I'm just waiting for Red to pick one, if anyone's wondering.

Figuring out where the first mimic went was actually the hardest part for me. Once this one has done his job, the other mimics destination is obvious.

The second hurdle for me was to find which orbs to strike to complete the Holy law chapter VII. The editor helped there. By the way, masonjason did you intend it to be anyone edit.

I agree, it is an excellent room.

Oops, sorry. I'll enter the one with the mimic and the trapdoors. I'll remake it later so there's only one in the hold.

just started looking at this thread
the only room I have looked at so far is mikko's

my move count is going to be pretty high
but I think I can complete it while never having more than 1 section active at a time
(pick up 1 mimic complete his section then pick up the next mimic)

That's how I do his room, just realize that you must choose which mimic goes where very carefully or else you'll find yourself forced on to another mimic potion. And that there's one section you must do first :)

Yes, it was supposed to be anyone-edit. I did this so that it could be easily compiled into a hypothetical group hold, and for greater ease of judgement. Thanks for the praise.

Are you supposed to be able to do the following in Pilfer's Point?
Click here to view the secret text

It could easily be corrected, but should it be? Was this the intended solution?

No. With a room this complex and no open playtesting, things like this are bound to crop up.
I'm not on my own computer at the moment, but I'll get back to this in a week or three when I am.
