On my computer, I have webfoot, 1.5, and AE all installed and on my desktop. It's a good thing I changed the shortcut names, because the icons are all the same and I wouldn't have been able to tell them apart otherwise. Could the background of the game icon be a slightly different colour for each version of the game, for distinguishing at a glance which is which?

I wouldn't be surprised if the icon for DROD 1.7 was a bit more distinctive.

I think the Architect's Edition should have an AE in the background.

I don't think I've ever seen this many views on a topic with only 2 replies in it... I think I'm going to modify my desktop icon to have an AE in it. Do you think I should post it up here when I'm done with it?

After deciding I hadn't done what I wanted to with the last icon, I got back on the horse and made another. The letters in this one are in tom's new roman font, too!

This is the one I'm using now, on my desktop and everything.

I'm going to assume that you're asking how to load it as your desktop icon:

Download the file, then on your desktop right-click on your DROD link, and enter Properties. Click the "Change Icon..." button, and then "Browse...", and navigate to the file. Click every "Open" and "OK" on the screen.

If this isn't what you mean, then could you ask a slightly more specific question?

Could some nice admin please move this to the Development forum, where it will likely get more attention? People seem to like the icon, and I'd like to share it with those who don't visit the Feature Request forum.

Don't tell me you didn't back it up...

If you didn't you have to export your player file, reinstall DROD, and re-import your player file.

Alternately, you could install DROD in a different directory and steal the icon from there.

Actually, you just modify the icon in the same way you did before, and point it to the drod.exe file. The original icon is stored in there.

NOTE TO PEOPLE DOWNLOADING: There are two posts with icons attached to them, and of the two I personally prefer the second one. Just putting this forward in case some people didn't notice there were two posts with attachments.
