It\'s in Spanish for reasons I won\'t go in to. My entire knowledge of Spanish is based on 2 years of high school experience, so if you\'re more fluent then me, be nice.

What a coincidence, I study Spanish too. Has to be my least favorite class. Not because of the language, that\'s interesting. It\'s all the incredibly hard work and studying that my teacher makes us cram into a very short period of time that gets to me.

If you don\'t have the Spanish skills to translate (and if you do, you should), here is the song in rough English:



A very funny song indeed! Note that just typing it into a translator will not yield the proper results. (it almost never does)

My english can suck at times, but spanish is my main language, so I can see far more mistakes.

Here is the song, translated by a perfect hispanic speaker and not-even-near-perfect english speaker:



Sokko\'s remark is right. Is should be \"ya no puede caminar\". \"Espada grande\", although correct, sounds weird in this context; \"Gran espada\" is better. And \"su tripas\" should be \"sus tripas\" or \"su tripa\".

But I\'ve been trying to fix the rhyme; the emphasys in \"caminar\" is very different than \"tripas\". My version:

La cucaracha, la cucaracha
ya no puede caminar
Pues vino Beethro, y su espada grande
Esparció su tripa en la pared

The reason I chose \"quiere\" instead of \"puede\" is because there\'s another song called \"La cucaracha\" which goes like this, as I always heard it.

La Cucaracha, la cucaracha,
ya no quiere caminar.
porque no tiene, porque le falta,
marijuana que fumar.



It\'s interesting then, that \"puede\" works much better than \"quiere\" in both songs.

It\'s actually \"already he does not want to walk\", unless for some weird reason you\'re not translating the \"ya\" (and I\'ve never encountered a situation where it isn\'t).

Oh yeah, I really should have noticed the agreement thing. My teacher would kill me; that\'s the thing everyone always forgets about in our class.

Also, I think you meant to say \"on the wall\", not \"in the wall\", I believe \"en\" can mean both in and on.

I happen to think that \"painted the walls with its intestines\" sounds more... poetic than just splashing them on. But then again what do I know about Spanish poems? I guess I\'m kind of aiming for something that sounds good in English, because as Spanish is not my first language I wouldn\'t know what \"sounds good\" in it. You decide.

Does \"pues\" really mean because? I was taught that it meant \"Well...\", a word to start off a sentence when you\'re still kind of putting it together.

Me likey the idea of "Deleted Post" or "Post deleted" with the username to the left, as opposed to complete erasure.

Posts deleted by moderators do get completely erased with no mark.

No, that is bad. If a post causes a lot of negative energy to flow trough the thread, and no moderator deletes it, AND THE ORIGINAL POSTER can't do that either, then WHAT?

Bumping up a topic that is approximately six years old is quite irritating. The only thing that is more irritating is that the person who bumped the topic - once told that it is not reccomended in the forums - deletes there post. This just creates confusion.
My two cents.
I like the song though
EDIT: BTW, whoever said - I think it was zex - that when someone deleted a post it should say their username and deleted post, it would probably be a good idea to post this on The Site board. If you really wanted it to be changed, I for one agree with zex.

If it's bad enough that it needs to be deleted, then a moderator will delete it. I trust the moderators' judgement far ahead of that of someone who posts the kind of post that might need deleting.
