So. I have conquered every room that can be conquered on this side of the blue barrier. I take it that what is on the other side must be reached in some other way. Any hints?

Are you sure? Check the H&S map to see all the rooms.

I am sure except that there are two rooms on the other side of the blue door (Entrance and 1N) that I can't reach. I entered at the top from the First Realm.
