Yup. Exactly. It's not really so bad, actually...I remember seeing this room, and quitting DROD for the night. The next day I came back, and beat it after a few tries. It does require some fancy footwork, but by now you should be able to do it just fine.
1S, I cant see how it is possible to get the mimic to both roaches, the wrong way through a force arrow, neither can you make the roach leave its little chamber.
Ah, this room. Not a totally uncommon room design, I think there was a bit of a precursor to this on level 4, and lots of users have made rooms like this in their custom holds.

×The mimic can definitely kill both roaches. There's only one room you can start in, and the room that Beethro is in is just big enough to move the mimic between the isolated walls. Of course, you'll make mistakes and have to start over, but you'll do it.
