I haven't yet found the right decoy placement pattern . . . the uploaded screenshot shows the typical outcome after a few moves.

How close are my mimics to where they should go?

I'd thought about that at first, but since there was no apparent way to make a proper "cage" I tried other avenues. Back to the drawing board . . .
