I asumed that was intentional, since there aren't any checkpoints up there. Would be tedius to kill all the aumtlichs if that wasn't the intended solution.

I uploaded a new version, beta3. The only structural change is to L5 2N ("This time for sure!"). I also modified most of the generic level entrance text, tweaked some of the other text slightly, added a little bit of speech near the end of some levels.

I got annoyed with one of the rooms on Level 5 and quit playing this hold. But then Chaco encouraged me, so I finished Level 5.

Comments on the rest of Level 5 (from where I left off):

Rooms I still need help on: Level 2 secret, Level 6 1N1E

The trick for Level 7: 1S is one I haven't seen before, but now I know it...

The revised Level 5: 2N now feels like a real puzzle. I got it, but it took some thinking.

Rooms I haven't solved yet:

Level 2: secret
Level 6: 1N, 1N1E

For the SW secret on Level 6:

I've mastered the hold. I still haven't managed to solve L6: 1N or 1N1E, but the hold is mastered.

A few final comments:

L6: 1N: My best move count for killing the last mother is 184. Close...

L5: NE secret. The movement pattern of the brained evil eye in this room is bizarrely unintuitive. Why does it have trouble moving south but not moving north? odd.

L6 1N1E: I haven't even really tried this one. It looks unpleasant, though.

Short answer: brained movement preferences.

Long answer: You may want to go check TFMurphy's Advanced Brain interaction hold in the GC#1 forum (since you have access to it) I think it might explain things more clearly. I know I wouldn't have been able to solve the room had I not considered the eye's ability to move southwest.

Wow! Awesome stuff so far! I'm half-way finished with level 2 and I have no more comments that other people haven't said so far, but this is the first Boyblue hold that I've finished a whole level of.

I've uploaded beta4. I removed the warps, made Level 7 1N somewhat harder, and made a few cosmetic changes.

Well, whatever you did to L7: 1N has made it unsolvable for me -- I can no longer figure out how to sufficiently separate the skippers.

Sadly, I can't even look at my old demo to see what I did before...

I understand that Level 6 1N1E is not required; however, I've already spent so much time trying to solve it, I'd appreciate at least a hint on how to get started in a productive way.

Finally! Solved Level 6 1N1E in 561 moves! :P
Thanks to both Blondbeard and Rabscuttle. (Rabscuttle explained in chat how to solve a similar room in Larry's Lone Soldier hold, and Blondbeard's hint shows how to reduce this room to the Lone Soldier problem. After I practiced on Lone Soldier : Prison : 1N2E, this room became easy.)

I've submitted the hold for publication. Until it appears on the Holds board, you can still report serious problems here.
