I can't believe I'm the first person to struggle with this room!

I can see that in order to complete the room

Unfortunately, I can't get Beethro round the far side of the gel unless some of it is cut first, and after that, the room is unfinishable. I'm obviously missing something here. Can anyone suggest what it might be, please?

Edit: OK - once again I figured it out after posting!!
