This is my last room before the stripey door.

I can't get the first two roach doors open without getting eaten.

What am I missing?

Have you beaten this room in the original Treasure Hunt? The beginning part is pretty much the same...you might want to look for hints on that room (same location, although it might be hidden because it is a secret room). One hint is that in the original version, it was a serpent instead of a rattlesnake at first.

Belated thanks.

I worked my way through the original to this room, and it all became obvious.

Interesting how different a few changes can make most rooms. I found the original a bit easier, except for the snakes. I find rattleserpents easier to deal with than serpents, so I found the original serpent rooms harder.
