This has bugged me for quite some time. I was always wondering how to place 2 different stairs next to each other. Normal placing won't work, the second staircase simply will not be put. Ctrl-C will make the staircase instantly 'end hold' with me unable to change its destination.

Then, how did they make 2 staircases together in the Cheap trick contest compilation, one with the golden lane and another with force arrows over the staircases?

You have to use copy and paste to get the bi-staircase.
